Our matriarch, in whose name the Hoor Community Development Programme has been established. She inspired the vision of this project through teaching us, her progeny, the value of serving the less fortunate members of one’s community.
The HDC Programme started life in 2000 as a tin shack on a small plot of land in Kikambala that served as a make-shift masjid for the local Muslim population. Today, alhamdullilah, the Programme includes three projects, the Hoor Masjid, the Hoor Academy and the Hoor Medical Centre.
